Sheryl Lynne Smith Kapua

Mrs. Sheryl Lynne Smith Kapua, 69, of Blairsville, Ga., died Friday, June 22, 2007 at Union General Hospital.

Mrs. Kapua was born Tuesday, February 22, 1938 in Allegheny County, Pa., to the late Fred Duerr and Marie Aretz Duerr of Melrose, Fla. She had lived most of her life in Lake Worth, Fla., before moving to Blairsville in 1990 and was a member of Blairsville Church of Christ.

Survivors, beside her mother, include her husband, Cleto Kapua of Blairsville; daughters and sonsin law, Kellie and Ned O'Brien of Duluth, Ga., Kay and Harold Savage of Lawrenceville, Ga., Kerry and Rolando Paguaga of Stuart, Fla.; sons and daughters-inlaw, Kyle and Teri Smith of Royal Palm Beach, Fla., Kirk and Kris Smith of Orlando, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and Chad Lariscy of Blairsville, Ga.; sisters,

Joan Humphrey of Micco, Fla., Bonnye Cox of Melrose, and Connye Plouffe of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; grandchildren, Maren, Larry, Ryan, Michelle, Reagan, Carson, Madison, Morgan, Cameron, Bryson and Mallory.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Harold Savage officiating. Interment was in Union Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were Kyle Smith, Kirk Smith, Ned O'Brien, Larry Savage, Rolando Paguaga, Harold Savage, Chad Lariscy and Ryan Paguaga.
