Automobile accident claims life

Afatal car accident occurred in Union County last Sunday, June 24, where First United Methodist Church intersects Hwy. 515. Two vehicles were involved in the crash. Emergency personnel received the call at 1:58 p.m. and all three ambulances from Union County responded to the scene. Two victims in critical condition were airlifted to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. Two other patients were treated for minor injuries at Union General Hospital. The Georgia State Patrol confirmed that there was a fatality, but declined to release further details as the accident is still under investigation.
