AuthorWilliam Reynolds to address Writers Group

Author William V. Reynolds
Local author William V. Reynolds will address the July 11 meeting of the Georgia Mountain Writers Club at 10 a.m. in the modular building behind St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Young Harris Highway, Blairsville. Everyone is invited to hear Mr. Reynolds speak on his life as a writer.

Mr. Reynolds has published six novels since 2000. A historical fiction trilogy, which includes River Pilot, Hard Times, and Call of the Pines, is based on an oral family history project and is set in South Georgia. Circuit Rider is also historical fiction. Project Messiah is a science fiction/religious account of the possible coming of the antichrist, while Life with Charlie is the story of a homeless man and the dog he adopts who travel across the country to keep an appointment with destiny.

The son of a sharecropper, Mr. Reynolds brings a varied background- including farming with a mule, hand-picking corn, teaching mathematics, working as a movie projectionist, theater manager, shipping clerk, truck driver and minister- to his writing. In 2002 he was recognized in Who's Who in U.S. Writers, Editors & Poets, and in 2004 he was inducted into the Authors' of the Round Table by the BookShop in South Georgia.

The Georgia Mountain Writers Club meets on the second
