Mountain Weavers and Crafters work with students

Mountain Weavers and Crafters (MW&C) were pleased to participate for the second year in Union County School System's "Century 21" program. This summer the students made random- weave birdhouses with different colors and sizes of rattan reed. The students had a great time with the project that taught them an ancient craft as well as providing homes for our local bird population. MW&C is based in Union county with members from Fannin, Union, Towns counties in Georgia and Clay and Cherokee counties in North Carolina.
