William C. "Bill" Odom

Mr. William C. "Bill" Odom, 66, of Tignall, Ga., formerly of Union County, Ga., died Sunday, June 10, 2007 at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, Ga.

Mr. Odom was born Monday, November 4, 1940 in Union County, Ga., to the late Clyde Odom and the late Ruth Warren Odom. He was a member of Fishing Creek Baptist Church in Tignall, Ga. Mr. Odom was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Ruth Odom; sisters, Annie Dean, Angie Lee Galloway and Wayne Odom; and half-brother, Bartow Stewart.

Survivors include son, Wayne Odom of Blairsville; daughter, Cerelda DeHeus of Arlington, Texas; son, Christopher Odom of Blairsville; sisters, Muriel Cotton of Bakersfield, Calif., Johnnie Frey of Cartersville, Ga., Jessie Echols of Kennesaw, Ga., Jean Esposito of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Irene Reece of Kennesaw; grandchildren, Amy Odom of

Athens, Ga., Melissa Clifton

of Athens, Kimberly

DeHeus of Arlington,

Texas, Jessica Odom of

Blairsville, Chelsea Odom of Blairsville;

great-grandchild, Kaydee Addison McClure of Blairsville.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Cates officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Essie Daniel. Interment followed in Confidence United Methodist Church Cemetery in Blairsville. Serving as pallbearers were Mr. Odom's nephews.
