Lois Chaney Leftwich

Mrs. Lois Chaney Leftwich, 68, of Sharp Top Circle, Blairsville, Ga., formerly of Newnan, Ga., died Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at her home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Leftwich was born Dec. 8, 1938 in Roanoke, Va., the daughter of the late Lacy Edmond Chaney and the late Easter May Likins Chaney. She was a devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Leftwich was a member of Peachtree City United Methodist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Leftwich is her loving husband of 47 years, Gerald Leftwich of Blairsville; sons and daughter-in-law, Greg Leftwich of Sharpsburg, Va., Gary and Rebecca Leftwich of Carrollton, Ga.; brothers and sisters in-law, Edmond and Ann Chaney of S. Boston, Va., Herman and Margie Chaney of Roanoke, Va., Harold Chaney of Bedford, Va.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lettie Perez of Edenburg, Va., Doris and Homer Simmons of Moneta, Va., Sarah and Chuck Hill of Vinton, Va.; grandchildren, Emory, Savannah and Asher; many other relatives and friends also survive.

No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to a local Hospice of your choice in Mrs. Leftwich's memory.
