Jewell Walters Murphy

Jewell Walters Murphy, 79, of Blairsville, Ga., died June 3, 2007, following an extended period of declining health.

Ms. Murphy was born October 30, 1927, in McRoberts, Ky. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.L. (Buck) Murphy of Eustis, Fla., and a brother, Wendell Walters, Camargo, Ky. She was a former resident of Eustis, having moved to Blairsville in 1998.

Surviving Ms. Murphy are her son and daughter-in-law, J.R. and Barbara Murphy of Young Harris, Ga.; granddaughters, Kerry (Tony) Berrong of Hiawassee, Ga., and Kasey Murphy of Augusta, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Haley Berrong; brother, James (Dorothy) Walters of Mt. Sterling, Ky.; sisters, Louise (D.C.) Wingate of W. Virginia and Wilma Doyle of Eustis, Fl.; sister-in-law, Jean Walters, Camargo, Ky.; along with a number of nieces and nephews.
