ACB Donates Chieftan Sponsorship to Blairsville Scottish Festival and Highland Games

Appalachian Community Bank is a proud contributor to the 2007 Blairsville Scottish Festival and Highland Games. The annual event took place this past weekend at Meeks Park and was a phenomenal success! ACB's Chieftan Level Sponsorship helps to support the Blairsville-Union County Chamber of Commerce, as it funds the various activities of the weekend, including: the Kilted Golf Classic, the Ceilidh Reception, Clan Gatherings, athletic competitions, pipe and drum bands, and many, many more! Shown, here is Appalachian Community Bank President, Jason Karnes, presenting the sponsorship check to Chamber President, Cindy Williams, and Scottish Festival Organizing Committee Chairman, Jim McAfee.

Appalachian Community Bank also sponsored three people transporter trams for the Festival and Games. Thousands of visitors journeyed to the Festival this weekend, and the staff of ACB made the trip a little easier for them by providing transportation around the park to and from the various venues. Shown here, is ACB Executive Vice President, Marty Godfrey, giving a lift to some very appreciative Scottish Festival guests.
