John Crews Ringland

Mr. John Crews Ringland, 88, of Rocky Circle, Blairsville, Ga., died Friday, June 8, 2007 in the Heritage Health Care in Blue Ridge following an extended illness.

Mr. Ringland was born May 2, 1919 in Toronto, Canada, the son of the late Hans Ringland and the late Mabel Crews Ringland. He was a veteran of the Canadian Air Force of WWII. He was an office manager of Lakeside Village for over 15 years. Mr. Ringland was of the Protestant faith.

Surviving Mr. Ringland is his loving wife of 41 years, Geraldine Ringland of Blairsville; daughter, Barbara Burns of Vancouver, Canada; sons and two daughtersin law, Pete and Kiki Ringland of

Tahiti, Granger Ringland of Roechester, N.Y., Michael and Patricia Nolan of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; six grandchildren, one great grandchild; many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service was held Sunday, June 10, 2007 at 4 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Father Richard Wise officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to United Hospice, 5004 Appalachian Hwy, Blue Ridge, GA 30513 in Mr. Ringland's memory.
