"Pond Permits, Construction, and Maintenance"
Have you ever dreamed of having your own recreation pond that is 1/3 acre or larger? Our local NRCS Conservationist and Habersham Extension Agent will discuss the permits needed, construction details and maintenance of a recreation pond. Doug Towery will explain what permits are required, how to apply, and from whom the appropriate permits can be obtained. He will also cover in detail how to select the appropriate site for your pond. Steven Patrick will then take the group through the proper process to control pond weeds, what invasive plants and fish species to avoid, and how to keep your pond healthy. Finally he will discuss the appropriate fish species for this area. With the wealth of information covered in this seminar, you should be well on the first steps to creating a pond that you can enjoy for years to come.
This seminar is FREE and is limited to the first 100 registrants.
