S.A.F.E. seeking Thrift Store volunteers

Support in Abusive Family Emergencies, Inc., a nonprofit organization providing domestic violence and sexual assault intervention services in Towns and Union Counties, is seeking energetic volunteers to work in the agency's Blairsville or Hiawassee thrift stores. Volunteer duties would include sorting through donations, helping with the cash register, answering phones, helping to organize sales racks and assisting customers.

Both stores carry a variety of items, from clothing to household items and furniture. Drivers are also needed on occasion to pick up donations or deliver furniture to clients. Volunteers can work as little or as often as their schedule allows. The S.A.F.E. Thrift Store is in Blairsville, and S.A.F.E. Again Thrift Store is in Hiawassee.

For more information about volunteer needs at either location, please call Kay Crofford at 706-896-1700. Volunteer applications are located at both stores.
