Edgar Dale Short Jr.

Mr. Edgar Dale (Better known as Buck) Short Jr., 86, of Bell Rd., Mineral Bluff, Ga., died Monday, May 14, 2007 at his home following an extended illness.

Mr. Short was born June 2, 1920 in Hillsborough County, Fla., the son of the late Edgar Dale Short Sr. and the late Dorothy Roberts Short. He had served as a Deputy with the Hillsborough County Sheriffs Dept. for over 25 years. He loved the mountains and working around the their home. His hobbies were rock collecting, shooting firearms and gun collecting. He was a very loving husband and will be missed by all who knew him, especially by his wife of 60 years. He was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Trammell and Sharon Jones. Mr. Short was a member of the Charismatic faith.

Memorial services

were held Wednesday at 4

p.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jim Crews officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to United Hospice, 5004 Appalachian Hwy Ste. 3 A, Blue Ridge, GA 30513 in Mr. Short's memory.
