Thomas Insurance gives $1K to Community Council Campaign

Thomas Insurance Agency of Blue Ridge, Ga., has given $1,000 to the "Partners in Service" Campaign of the Community Council of the Georgia Mountain Research and Education Committee. The gift was announced by Nancy Thomas Kay and Robert Thomas, Jr. "Robert and I and our associates are pleased to support causes that serve Fannin County students and promote economic development in the county and the region. The Community Council is doing both through its educational enrichment experiences for students and adults in the county and beyond and its emphasis on preservation", said Kay.
Thomas Insurance Agency is in its 53rd year of operation. Founded by Robert Thomas, Sr., it has always been family owned. Robert Thomas, Jr., has thirty years experience in the business and Nancy Kay has thirty-six years experience. The full service agency serves clients in Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina by providing home, auto, life, business and bond insurance. It is the largest independent agency in Georgia for Allstate and the second largest in the Southeast. Thomas Insurance has long been noted for its personal service to its customers.

The Community Council has the three emphases of: educational enrichment experiences for students, outreach seminars for adults and preservation projects important to preserving our mountain heritage. In less than three years of operation, the Council has served over 8,000 students and adults through its programs and activities. Currently, it has five preservation projects underway, including a Plant Rescue Project.
