RAINER'S RAMBLINGS
Dancing with the Stars
By RAINER ARNOLD Union Sentinel Publisher

I do not know why I am actually writing about this, but it just has been on my mind here lately and I read something in the paper about an art show at the high school. In the last several weeks I have been very interested in a show called "Dancing with the Stars." I really do not know why, after all, I can't dance. My wife tells me I have no rhythm and I can't keep in step. Now, I would like to be able to dance, but I just can't. Just like I can paint and the list goes on of the things that are related to art that I cannot do.

Anyway, let's get back to that show. I am almost addicted to watching it. And last night, I had to cover a sports banquet and so I missed seeing who got voted off in the semi-final. So I thought, "No big deal, I will look it up on the internet." Well go upstairs to the office and start looking. Nothing. No results at 9:30 pm. So, I think I will give them a little more time and I checked again about 11 pm. Still no answer. I was a little irritated because I had to go to bed not knowing who got voted off.

So, this morning first thing, I checked. And, the couple I favored the least did get voted off. My favorite, Apollo Anton Ohno, the Olympic Gold medal speed skater is still in the hunt for the trophy. So, I am happy. But the site did not tell me who was in the bottom two. I guess I will have to patient and wait until next Monday night and watch the final episode of the dance off competition. And I must say, these people, especially the non-dancers, boy, they are good. And very enjoyable to watch. So, if you are bored next Monday night, tune in, relax and enjoy some fun people having fun dancing. And know all the time, that I am sitting there watching and wishing I could dance just half that good.
