Gertrude Grace McKeown Woodruff

Mrs. Gertrude Grace McKeown Woodruff, 86, of Jordan Ln., Blairsville, Ga., formerly of Palm Harbor, Fla., died Sunday, April 29, 2007 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness.

Mrs. Woodruff was born Jan. 31, 1921 in Patterson, N.J., the daughter of the late Samuel D. McKeown and the late Esther D. Wells McKeown. She lived most of her life in Schenectady, N.Y. She was a former IBM employee. Her favorite hobbies were cooking, sewing and just being with her family. She was preceded in death by a brother, John McKeown; sisters, Mildred McKeown and Ruth Piel. Mrs. Woodruff was of the Protestant faith.

Surviving Mrs.Woodruff are brother and sister-in-law,

James and Colette

McKeown of Blairsville;

sister and brother-in-law,

Florence and John Dunne of Seminole,

Fla.; several nieces,

nephews and many

other relatives and

friends also survive.

A memorial service

will be held at a later date. In

lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Mrs. Woodruff's memory.
