Birdhouse building guidelines

Build a birdhouse with your scrap lumber and put it where you can watch as birds find a home in your yard. School will soon be out for the summer and building a birdhouse is a great project for children and grandchildren. Put out the welcome mat for your feathered friends by putting up feeders, birdhouses, definitely a birdbath, and be sure you have shrubs and evergreen trees nearby so they feel protected. The houses listed below should be painted with a light tan or earth color.
