Upward basketball and cheerleading camps

Jerry Helton, Upward Sports Program Director and Pastor of House of Prayer Interdenominational Church of Blairsville, would like to extend an invitation to all interested children to register for summer sports camps.

Upward Sports Camps will be held at House of Prayer Family Life Center Monday through Friday, June 25th - 29th. Cheerleading Camp is available to children grades K - 6 and will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. Basketball Camp is available to children grades K - 8 and is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Early registration deadline is June 6th for a reduced fee of $30. After June 6, the fee will be $35. Those interested should come by the church office located in the Family Life Center to complete a registration form or contact the church office.

"Through Upward Sports, we have the distinct privilege of coaching and mentoring children of our community and providing them with solid, scripturebased virtues that can sustain them throughout their lifetime and eternity. We believe there is no higher calling than to love the children as Christ Himself loved them.

"Through Upward Sports and other ministries such as KidStuf, Kiddie Church, Children's Church, Canal Lake Bible Camp, Vacation Bible School, and Children's Choir it is the desire of House of Prayer that each child know and experience the love and acceptance that comes from the One who knows and understands them most, Jesus Christ. We want each child know who they are in Christ, and to be able to walk confidently and consistently in His Love and plan for their life," continued Helton.
