UCB Supports area 'Fishing Rodeo'

Each year, the Chattahoochee Forest National Fish Hatchery hosts 'fishing rodeos' for both Special Kids (children with disabilities and special needs) and senior citizens in May and June. This year's Senior fishing rodeo will be held on Friday, June 8.

To support the fish hatchery, the rodeo and participants, United Community Bank each year donates 400 t-shirts to both Special Kids and Seniors. Shown here is Teresa Dorton, Director of Marketing, United Community Bank - Blairsville, presenting a t-shirt to Kelly Taylor, Assistant Hatchery Manager. Kelly has been with the hatchery for eight years.

The fish hatchery stocks more than 3,000 fish for the event, and each participant has a limit of eight fish to keep.
