National Day of Prayer- May 3

The Union County celebration of the 56th annual National Day of Prayer will be held at 7 p.m., May 3 at the Union County Courthouse in Blairsville.

The theme for this year's observance is "America, Unite In Prayer", and is based on Second Chronicles 7:14 - "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

This is an opportunity for all Americans to join in united prayer to acknowledge our dependence on God, offer thanks for His blessing, and to ask for God's guidance.

The public is cordially invited to join in this celebration of our freedom to gather, worship and pray.
