George Jones, the undisputed godfather of modern country, will open the 2007 Superstar Concert Series on Saturday, May 12 at 7 p.m. Jones will perform live at Anderson Music Hall with special guest Magician Mike Fuller.

George Jones has had more charted singles than any other artist in any format of popular music. He was the Country Music Association Male Vocalist of the Year in 1962 and 1963. In 1992 the CMA inducted Jones into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Jones is currently backing God's Country, a tribute album featuring a host of country performers.
