Michael Steele Kapler

Mr. Michael Steele Kapler, 53, of Whatever Way, Blairsville, Ga., died suddenly Wednesday, April 11, 2007 in Orlando, Fla.

Mr. Kapler was born Feb. 10, 1954 in Lakewood, N.J., the son of Mary Joorman Kapler and the late John Kapler. Michael graduated from the Divers Training Academy in Ft. Pierce, Fla., and worked as a Commercial Diver. Later he started his own Paint Contracting Business (Mike Kapler Painting). He also worked in the hotel business. Michael was a Naturalist and Conservationist. In his younger years he was an avid surfer, but his main hobby was arrowhead collecting as he wanted to preserve our Native American History. He was an extraordinary human being and a wonderful father, husband and a good friend to many.

Surviving Michael is his loving wife, Yajaira Lissette Kapler of Blairsville; daughters and son-inlaw, Gerry and Justin Dunbar of Deltona, Fla., Lissette Kapler and Kamila Kapler, both of Blairsville; mother, Mary Kapler of Blairsville; stepmother, Madaline Kapler of

Blairsville; brother and sister-inlaw,

of Hobe Sound, Fla.; sisters

and brothers-in-law,

Lynda and Richard Akers of Tavares, Fla., Cynthia

Hodal of Deland, Fla.,

Dominick Giannelli of Folson, Calif.; sister-in-law, Xiomara Giannelli of Orlando, Fla.; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life service was held on Tuesday, April 17, 2007. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to a trust at United Community Bank for his daughters' college fund in Michael's memory.
