April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and a time to increase the community's commitment to putting an end to such violence against women, children and men. Utilizing the symbolism of jeans to bring attention to sexual assault, employees of the participating businesses and agencies let others know that such crimes will not be tolerated in our community.

H.O.P.E., or Helping Out People in Emergencies, is a Sexual Assault Program offered by S.A.F.E. to provide victims and survivors of sexual assault with services such as individual support, medical and court accompaniment, legal advocacy and a 24-hour crisis line (706- 379-3000 V/TTY). Sisterhood is a support group for women who have experienced sexual assault in their lives. All services are free and confidential.
