Flower Walk at Vogel State Park

Wildflower enthusiasts are invited to participate in Vogel State Park's Annual Spring Wildflower Walk on Saturday, April 21 at 1:30 p.m. Despite recent historical record cold temperatures, the beauties on the forest floor are peeking through the leaf litter in search of warm sunshine. Star grass, dwarf crested iris, bluets, and Indian pipes are just a few of the flowers that may be found.

The environment around Vogel provides the perfect opportunity to capture many varieties of flowers on film. This walk is a great way to renew your faith in the wonders of nature.

The charge for the program is $3 per participant. There is an additional $3 park pass for each vehicle as well.

Vogel State Park is operated by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and is located 11 miles south of Blairsville on U.S. Hwy 19/129. For more information call 706-745-2628.
