Licklog Players' Harvey begins rehearsals

Who doesn't like to have a best friend? One you can confide in, share with, and depend on in times of trouble? Who wouldn't like a best friend who's not only a good listener, but is smart, tall, with long ears, and covered with white, fluffy fur? Well, that's not your typical best friend type, but it's Elwood P. Dowd's best friend, and they've been best friends for many years. Harvey, who is a six foot tall, imaginary white rabbit, goes everywhere with Elwood, even to the local watering hole for a nightcap. Unfortunately, Elwood's sister, Veta, doesn't look as fondly on Harvey as Elwood does and this causes a series of events to unfold that could change Elwood's life forever.

Vianne Payne, who last directed The Foreigner at the Peacock Playhouse, is back once again to create this light hearted, magical 'tail' into a wonderfully entertaining production. Vianne is hopping right along casting roles, marking cues and bringing everything together.

Harvey runs May 18 - 20 & 25 - 27 and is rated PG. Ticket prices are $13 for adults and $8.00 for students. Box office hours to purchase tickets will be from 10am - 4pm, Monday through Friday and will open May 7th to the public and April 30th for Season Ticket Holders. Come by the Playhouse or call 828-389-8632 or tollfree 1-877-691-9906.
