Mary Delores Martinez

Mrs. Mary Delores Martinez, 64, of Blairsville, Ga., died Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Union General Hospital in Blairsville.

Mrs. Martinez was born Saturday, September 12, 1942 in Moultrie, Georgia, to the late Clyde Burdett and Mary Wimberly Burdett. Mrs. Martinez was a member of Choestoe Baptist Church and was also active in the Women's Missionary Union. Mrs. Martinez and her husband had been living in Blairsville since 2004, moving here from Sarasota, Fla. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Burdett.

Survivors include her husband, Buck Martinez of Blairsville; mother, Mary Burdett of East Point, Ga.; sons, Johnny Allen, Kevin Allen; daughter, Belisa Allen, all of of

Douglasville, Ga.; brothers: Larry Burdett of Whitesburg, Ga., and Neal Burdett of Atlanta, Ga.; granddaughters, Meghann Mooney, Brittany Allen and LeAnn Allen; grandsons, Grant Mooney, Steven Allen, Thomas Allen and Alexander Allen.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of the

Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Zollinger and Rev. Darwin A. Caldwell officiating. Music was provided by Rev. Darwin A. Caldwell. Interment followed in Choestoe Baptist Church Cemetery.
