Women's Enrichment Center's Walk For Life The Woman's Enrichment Center, a ministry of the Appalachian Area Crisis Pregnancy Center, is gearing up once again for their annual Walk for Life. This fundraising event will take place Saturday, April 14th, beginning at 10:00a.m. in Blairsville, and 2:00pm in Andrews. The start and finish of this two-mile walk will be at each center, prospectively (11 Patrice Drive in Blairsville, just behind the Circle K off Jackson street and 29 Chesnut street across from the Post Office in Andrews.) In Andrews, Indian Hills Spring Water will be providing two water stations and McDonald's will be offering a free refreshment to walkers. A free t-shirt will also be given to any participant who raises at least $150.00 in pledges. There will be similar offerings at the Blairsville location. The annual "Walk for Life" is the center's major fund raising opportunity. All proceeds will be used to offset the center's operating expenses and to enable this ministry to continue to offer all services free of charge. Walkers and sponsors are needed to make this annual event a success. Brochures are available in local church and at The Women's enrichment centers both in Andrews and Blairsville. In addition to providing free pregnnancy testing and volunteer peer counselors, the centers offer family oriented classes in parenting, certified childbirth education classes, cooking, personal finance, and many other life skills classes.
