Union General Hospital Auxilians Pay It Forward

Did you ever see the movie "Pay It Forward?" It's about a teacher who gives his class a social studies assignment: think of some idea that will improve mankind. A young boy decides that if he can do three good deeds for someone and they in turn can "pay it forward" and so forth, positive changes can occur.

It's not easy to implement changes. It takes a lot of hard work and determination and it doesn't happen overnight. What if a concept like this really was implemented? What if every single person that had a favor bestowed upon them was asked to pay it forward? Is it possible? I doubt it, but it certainly would go a long way to making this world a better place to live. Sometimes the simplest idea can make the biggest difference.

In our world helping other people is perhaps the most important we can do. The film reminds us about the good in the world and the changes just one individual can make.

Please attend the next meeting of the Union General Hospital Auxiliary on Friday, April 6 at noon at the Union County Nursing Home and you will soon learn how you too can actually do a lot to "pay it forward."
