Grace Dupree White

Mrs. Grace Dupree White, 89, of Blairsville, Ga., formerly of Cherokee County, Ga., died Wednesday, March 14, 2007.

Mrs. White had retired from the Georgia State Board of Education, was a member of chapter 455, Order of the Eastern Star, and was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church in Blairsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude White.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Rev. Dewey Cox of Blairsville; sisters

and brother-in-law, Thelma and Prescott Kimmons and Alice Dupree of Acworth grandson and granddaughter-inlaw, Phillip and Amy Hooper Cox of Hayesville, N.C.; several nieces, nephews and many friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 17, 2007 from the chapel of the South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Dewey Cox officiating. Interment was in the Rolling Hills Memory Gardens.
