Patricia Thornton Middleton

Mrs. Patricia Thornton Middleton, 70, of Blairsville, Ga., died Friday, March 16, 2007 at Union General Hospital in Blairsville.

Mrs. Middleton was born Thursday, January

7, 1937 in Jefferson

County, Texas, to the late Fred Thornton and the late Dorothy Rose Simmons Thornton. She had lived in Blairsville since 1993, when she and her husband moved from Atlanta. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, George Middleton of Blairsville; daughters, Valerie Lynn Adams of Memphis, Tenn., Vannessa Lane Watts of Hanceville, Ala., Vickie Lea McManus of McDonough, Ga.; son, James A. Middleton of Ellijay, Ga.; brother, Arthur W. Thornton

of LaFollette, Tenn.; sister, Suzanne Lane of El Campo, Texas; grandchildren, Ashley Adams, Daniel Adams, Aaron Adams, Phillip Adams, Adrian Adams, Joshua Adams, Avery Watts, Ryan McManus, Sean McManus, and Shelby McManus; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 18, 2007 at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Lane officiating.
