Spring around the corner
Ray Long, twenty-year owner of the Fruit and Veggie Stand on Old Blue Ridge Highway just across the street from Pat's Hallmark, has been open for two weeks, starting the season early with everything from juicy cantaloupes to fresh peppers, Florida oranges and grapefruits, and lemons, and greens. Long's stand is open until Christmas day each year.
