Area resident named Cotton States Insurance Agent

Jamie Burbage
Jamie Burbage of Blairsville has been named an agent for Cotton States Insurance.

Jamie has worked at the Blairsville Cotton States office for over two years and recently completed the organization's New Agent School. The school is designed to help agents expand their knowledge of products, systems and sales. The training also focuses on enhancing communication skills and guiding agents toward successfully setting and achieving goals.

Cotton States Insurance has provided quality insurance protection to customers in the Southeast since 1941, with products for auto, home and life. In January 2005, Cotton States became part of the COUNTRY Insurance & Financial Services alliance of companies. The relationship with COUNTRY allows Cotton States Mutual and its subsidiary, Shield Insurance Company, to share the COUNTRY property/casualty group's A.M. Best rating of A+ (Superior). Blairsville graduated from Union County High in 1974. Jamie earned a medical technician degree from North Georgia Technical College, Clarkesville, in 1993.

She has three children, Barry Tabor of Augusta, Ga., Tina Lloyd of Blairsville and Anna Burbage of Blairsville. She is a member of Harvest Fellowship Church and is past president of the Shelter for Abused Women and Children. Jamie also volunteers for North Georgia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
