UCB donates to golf team

Submitted photo UCB's Bo Wright presents a check to UCHS Athletic Director Jim Hughes.
Golf is one of the most ancient of sports, with origins in the mists of auld Scotland. But one thing is for sure: you can't play golf without a golf ball.

In fact, most players will need several dozen golf balls in a typical year. That's especially true for those who play the game competitively.

United Community Bank recently made a donation that will help keep the Union County Panthers golf team supplied with balls for some time to come. The team consists of students in all four grades of High School, and the season runs from February through April, with the state tournament held around the first of May.

Bo Wright made the presentation of the check to UCHS Athletic Director, Jim Hughes. All the staff at United wish the Panther Golf Team the best of luck! May all your scores be well below par. (Remember, in golf, that's good!)
