Jeffery Carroll

Mr. Jeffery Carroll, 42, of Carroll Rd., Blairsville, Ga., died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007 in the Fannin Regional Hospital following injuries received in an automobile accident.

Mr. Carroll was born Jan. 11, 1965 in Union County, Ga., the son of the late Earl Harvey Carroll and the late Lucy Mae Smith Carroll. He was a native and lifelong resident of Union County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy Newman Carroll in 1998. Mr. Carroll was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Surviving Mr. Carroll are brothers and three sistersin laws, Ralph and Brenda Carroll of Blairsville, David and Diane Carroll of Blairsville, Junior Carroll of Blairsville, Clyde and Donna Carroll of Blairsville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Archie Patterson of Blairsville, Faye and Evin Patterson of Blairsville, Kathy and Donnie Queen of Canton, Ga., Cindy and Tommy Queen of Blairsville, Rachel and Steve Woodin of Fla., Dale and Jim Pressley of Murphy, N.C.; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007 at 4 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Hubert Legg and Rev. William Sisum officiating. Special music was presented by Hubert Legg and the Faith Singers. Pallbearers were Tim Kirtley, Gary Jones, Willie Kerr, Michael Carroll, Wess Carroll and Darrell Allen. Honorary pallbearers were Ray Shook, Alvin Towe, Junior Grahm, Coty Carroll and Skip McKeral. Interment followed in the Dillard Chapel cemetery.
