Vincent J. Beale

Mr. Vincent J. Beale, 84, of Blairsville, Ga., died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007.

Vincent was born March 29, 1922 in Detroit, Mich. He was a resident of Blairsville for the past 26 years. He graduated from Detroit Catholic High School. He then attended Wayne State University briefly before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force where he served three years with the 8th Air Force in England. He was a lead Bombardier with 23 missions as a first LT. Vincent was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Upon returning to the States he joined the City of Detroit Fire Dept., serving 23 years. He retired as a Captain in 1978 and moved to Blairsville with his wife Gwenn.

Survivors include his wife Gwenn; daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and Barry Chabala of Canton,Mich., Nancy Beale and Christopher Grisel of Cedar City, Utah., and Cynthia and Daniel O'Brien of Belleville, Mich.; step children, Kay Anderson of Jupiter, Fla., and Christian

and Susan Anderson of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.;

seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren;

brother-in-law, Gordon Fuller and wife Patricia

and their five sons; many nieces, nephews and

friends also survive.

Mr. Beale was preceded in death by

brothers Robert, Albert, John (Jackie) and a

sister, Dorothy.

Funeral Services for Mr. Beale were held

Saturday, February 24, 2007 from the St. Fabian

Catholic Church in Farmington Hills, Mich. Interment followed in the Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Georgia Mountains Hospice, P.O. Box 580 Jasper, GA. 30143 or Detroit Catholic High School.
