Protect yourself today from fraudulent investments

AARP Georgia has recently trained volunteers to speak to community members and interested groups about investment fraud at no cost. These Fraud Fighter speakers will give 30- minute investment fraud presentations to seniors and other community residents. The presentation includes information on unsuitable investments for seniors, including variable annuities, gift annuities, viaticals and promissory notes, as well as notorious pyramid schemes, prime bank schemes and affinity fraud. Attendees will learn how to spot common investment scams and typical signs of fraud and learn important steps to protect themselves from fraud.
