Phillips & Lloyd Book Shop to hold book signing for Altman

The local area's lay cantor and rabbi, Stone Zvi Altman, has written a very interesting book, Be Thou Holy: A Heartfelt Introduction to Judaism. It is of interest to peoples of either Jewish or Christian faith.

Altman speaks from the heart about the history of the Jewish people from the time of Abraham to the present day. Many of the ancient stories will also be familiar to Christian readers because those same stories are in their Old Testament. But he broadens the stories with background of the political and international events of the time that lead up to the recordings in both the Jewish and Christian Bibles.

Also outlined are many aspects of the Jewish life, customs, religious ceremonies and worship. This book gives you an understanding of the events and the reasons behind them. He has also included a discussion of the Jewish Roots of Christianity. It is very interesting and done in a loving and non-judgmental manner.

Phillips & Lloyd Book Shop will be hosting Stone Zvi Altman for a book signing and discussion of the Jewish Roots of Christianity on Thursday, February 22nd.
