YHC establishes Friends of the Arts Society

Young Harris College and President John W. Wells are excited to announce the upcoming debut of Friends of the Arts, a patron society designed to assist in supporting performing arts at the College. Interested parties will have an opportunity to join the society during the Theatre Young Harris performances of Guys and Dolls, which will take place February 22 - 24 at 8:00 p.m. in the Hilda D. Glenn Auditorium.

The primary mission of Friends of the Arts is to promote awareness and quality in the fine and performing arts. Financial endorsement through membership in the society allows the division of fine arts to explore new and previously unfunded endeavors. Most importantly, the membership supports the College's efforts to provide superior opportunities for students to grow and learn in an environment of uncompromised artistic and academic freedom with integrity.

Interested persons may join the society via a variety of donor levels.

Donor levels and incentives are as follows:

All patrons will receive a welcome packet, annual newsletter, and their name printed in programs. Each donor level receives the incentive stated, plus all incentives from preceding levels.

Friend ($25-$99) Button Bronze ($100-$249) Seat Cushion Silver ($250-499) Hat Silver level patrons are invited to an annual donor dinner.

Gold ($500-$999) Polo Shirt Gold level patrons are invited to four social events per year, coinciding with art exhibitions, theatrical productions, and musical performances.

Platinum ($1,000+) Director's Chair Platinum level patrons are invited to two private director's dinners per year.
