JV ladies battle Tigers and Cats

Malory O'Steen fires off the shot against the Rabun JV Lady Cats.

The JV Lady Panthers had a close contest with the JV Lady Tigers of Dawson, falling 38-30 in the end. The two teams were tied 9-9 after the first quarter, and Union even took a 19-16 lead going into the half, but Dawson rallied in the second half, outscoring Union 22-11 after the break.

Malory O'Steen led Union with 12 points. She scored 8 of the ladies 9 first quarter points. Mary-Catherine Edmondson added 10, with 6 of those coming in the second period. Erin Poteete had 6 points and Whitney Brown scored 2.

Against Rabun County the JV Lady Cats came out on top 50-15. Whitney Brown led Union with 6 points while Erin Poteete finished with 4 .
