Senior security The Institute for Continuing Learning (ICL) at Young Harris College is sponsoring a series of seminars this winter called Senior Security. Everyone is invited to attend, members and nonmembers alike. There is no charge. The third seminar is about Identity Theft and will be held on Saturday, Feb. 3, from 1 - 3 pm in the Wilson Lecture Hall on the campus of the College. The speaker is Carol Chastain from United Community Banks. Ms. Chastain will present information to help you avoid becoming the victim of identity theft as well as what to do if you are a victim. She will also discus frauds and scams that are targeted primarily against seniors. Carol is the Chief Compliance Officer for United Community Banks, Inc. and is a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager. Her areas of responsibility include bank security and customer information privacy and security. Subsequent seminars in this series will feature Playing It Safe on the Internet on Feb. 10, Building Diversified Portfolios on Feb. 17, and Emotional Investing on Feb. 24.
