Madeline MacNeil to perform at Folk School Madeline MacNeil, well known as a singer and performer on the hammered and mountain dulcimers, will be featured in a free concert in the Community Room of the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, N.C. on Thursday, January 25 at 7:00 p.m. Madeline MacNeil has performed at folk festivals and concert venues throughout the country including The Barns at Wolf Trap, The Smithsonian Institution, the Shenadoah Valley Music Festival, The National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., and the Summer Solstice Traditional Music Festival in California which honored her for her contributions to acoustic music through performing, books and recording. Her twenty five years as a professional musician have produced a number of best selling books and videos for Mel Bay Publications and numerous recordings including Heart?s Ease which won an Indie from the National Association of Independent Record Distributors. Upcoming Friday night Folk School concert performers include The New Southern Ramblerws (February 2) and Curtis Blackwell and The Dixie Bluegrass Boys (Feb. 9).
