The jv Rebels got off to a hot start and quickly put Union in an 0-8 hole. Josh Colwell got the scoring started for the jv Panthers and chipped in 7 of the team's first dozen points. Union tied the game at 12-12 and only trailed 14-13 at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter Fannin gained the upper hand once again, taking a 28-22 lead into the break. In the third period Union started with a 10-0 run to take a 32-28 lead. The team finished the period with a 35-33 lead.

Union lost the lead in the final period, but managed to tie the game 42-42 on a Jake Levens trey. However, Fannin reclaimed the lead and hit their foul shots down the stretch, taking a narrow victory.

"For not shooting the ball too well I was pleased with our effort to get back into the game," said Coach Carson Turlington. "It could have very easily gotten out of hand but we played hard." Josh Colwell and Josh Walker were in double digits for Union with 12 points and 11 points respectively.

The jv Panthers rebounded with a big road win over Copper Basin, getting a good all-around scoring effort from the entire team.

Jake Levens led with 9 points while Josh Walker and Kolt Owenby added 8, and Brad Beside and Clay McConnel scored 7 each.

The Panthers took control of the game from the outset, building a 16-8 lead after one quarter. By halftime Union had extended the lead to double digits at 28-16, and never looked back.

"It was a good win on the road," said Coach Turlington. "It's always hard to go away like that, but the boys got back on the winning track and didn't let the game with Fannin bother them too much."
