'Passion to Action'

The Seventh Annual S.A.F.E. Gala Dinner, Dance and Charity Auction is just around the corner. It will be held at Brasstown Valley Resort on Saturday, February 17th. This year's theme "Passion to Action" will offer attendees some great ideas on easy ways to turn their passion for ending domestic violence into action.

The Gala will again include not only a fabulous Brasstown dinner, but a fun and entertaining live auction along with a silent auction. Auctioneer Tim Ryan who works with John Campbell Folk School will call the live auction this year. Live musical entertainment will be provided courtesy of "Flashback" for listening and dancing enjoyment.

Blue Ridge Mountain EMC has already signed on as a sponsor for this event and additional advertising sponsorships are available. Please call Kathie Hollis at (706) 379- 1901 for detailed information.

Tickets are now available at the S.A.F.E Thrift Store in Blairsville and the S.A.F.E. AGAIN Thrift Store in Young Harris/Hiawassee. You can also arrange for tickets by calling the S.A.F.E. office at (706) 379- 1901 or John Kniess at (706) 379-3710. There is no increase in the cost of tickets from previous years. They are $50 per person, a portion of which may be tax deductible. Black tie is optional. All proceeds benefit S.A.F.E. programs providing services to victims of abuse.

S.A.F.E. is the State certified domestic violence and sexual assault program serving Towns and Union Counties. Partial funding is received from the Georgia Department of Human Resources.
