Use your mouse to find our cats and dogs

Some people find it difficult to visit an animal shelter. "It breaks my heart to go to the shelter and see the animals," we hear time and time again. "I'd want to take them all home," OK, so how about a visit via the web! If you haven't seen the website for the Humane Society's Mountain Shelter, your in for a real treat. Talk about finding true love online... the faces we'll introduce you to are simply irresistible. Yo can take your time to browse through the color photographs and descriptions and see which pets you might want to visit and cuddle in person. The photos are updated weekly by volunteers Kenny

Francis and Norm Bennett.

January is "Adopt

a Senior Pet Month" at the

Shelter. If the

task of raising a puppy or kitten isn't appealing, then a senior pet is the answer.

The Humane Society's Mountain Shelter is located on Hwy. 76 between Blairsville and Young Harris at 2059 Bowling Gap Circle. Follow the green 'pawprints' up the hill. HSMS insures that all adopted animals are spayed or neutered . To volunteer at the Shelter or Thriftstore. Contact Cindy Balsamo at (706) 781-3843. www.iadoptapet.org
