So now Bush wants more troops in Iraq? Wasn't this new Democratic congress supposed to put the brakes on his stupidity? Apparently he's going to do whatever he wants, no matter what. Thank God for two-term limits.

Heating up

The unseasonably warm weather is nice but I haven't felt like we have even had a winter. That's all well and good for now, but if its this warm now, how hot is it going to be in the summer?

We're not in Mayberry anymore

It's a new year, and this area needs to catch up to the times. With all the crime occurring not just in Union county, but in Cherokee and Towns as well, people have to start taking more precautions. Its time for everyone to buckle down and start installing security cameras, alarm systems, or even the bulletproof plexiglass in gas station counters. I hope it doesn't take someone get killed before people stop being so cheap and figure out that is not Mayberry anymore.

Who would have thought?

I wonder if Saddam Hussein could have ever imagined that one day his rule would be over, his palaces would be taken away from him, and a cell phone video of his hanging would be watched by millions on the internet. If you live by the sword, you die by the sword.
