UC Lions Christmas tree

Did you see the Christmas trees at the recent 'Hall of Trees' at the local Tech College? Union County Lions Club had a rather unique tree this Christmas season and all the idea of Lion Lisa Little, current First Vice President of the club.

Lion Lisa started collecting 'stuffed lions' back in 2005 for her idea of the 2006 tree decorating. Taking snap shots of Union County Lion members, she then set the pictures in little square frames for the Christmas tree and with the help of the following Lions: Arthur and Betty Gurr; Gene and Louise Little proceded to put dozens of stuffed lions under the tree. Big ones, little ones, tiny ones and even a white one!

Needless to say, the Union County Lions Christmas tree caught the eye of many who attended the event that evening at the Tech College.

By the way, Lisa, what are you going to do with all those stuffed lions? Start a 'stuffed lions club?'All joking aside, remember the Lions Motto: We Serve.
