Dora Lee Reynolds Cable

Dora Lee Reynolds Cable, 86, of Hayesville, N.C., died Friday, December 22, 2006 at the Clay County Care Center in Hayesville, N.C.

She was a native of Towns County, Ga., and had lived most of her life in Clay County, N.C. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Order of Rebecca’s in Young Harris, Ga., and a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church in Hayesville. She was the daughter of the late Jasper and Bashia Phillips Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her husband William Howard Cable who died in 1976, a brother J.R. Reynolds and a sister Fredia McKinny.

She is survived by a son Jessie Herman Cable and his wife Barbara of Lula, Ga.; two daughters Annette Parker and Jannette Barnard and her husband Richard Keith all of Warne, N.C., a brother Joe Reynolds of Sandy Springs, Ga., a sister Patsy Reynolds of Charlotte, NC, eight grandchildren Jeff Barnard, Kenny Barnard, Shane Barnard, Terry Parker, Ernest Cable, Jessica Cable, Randy Cable and Misty Cable, nineteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 24, 2006 at the Shady Grave Baptist Church in Hayesville, N.C. Rev. Danny Burch and Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiated. Music was provided by Brandon Coker.

Interment was in the Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ben Barnard, Kenny Barnard,

Shane Barnard, Eric Barnard, Ernest Cable and Randy Cable. Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
