UCMS students thank troops

The students on Team 7B at the Union County Middle School said thank you to US troops in Iraq this Christmas by supporting the troops in their project, Beanies for Baghdad, which helps needy children in that country. As part of a Christmas giving effort, the 7th graders at UCMS collected and sent beanie babies to the troops.

Then US troops, working with the Iraqi people, go into orphanages, schools, and hospitals and pass out the donated beanie babies. According to English teacher Linda Cattanach, UCMS students chose this way to give of themselves this Christmas to support our nation, our soldiers and the children in Iraq.
