Johnson to retire from UCB
Celebrating more than 17 years of service
Marie Johnson, Vice President with United Community Bank Mortgage Services in Blairsville has announced her retirement, effective January 2. To celebrate her distinguished career and wish her well on beginning her ‘leisure years’, a reception was held in her honor on December 13.
Johnson began her United Community Bank career on May 31, 1989, and has been a Mortgage Originator for her entire 17 ?-year United career. She was promoted to Vice President on August 4, 1992.
Johnson graduated from Savings & Loan Institute of Banking School and is currently a member of the Board of Realtors and Home Builders Association. Prior to joining United, Marie worked 21 years at First Federal Savings & Loan in Plant City, FL.
Marie and Richard, her husband of 31 years, moved from Florida to Blairsville in 1985. They have one daughter in Suches, a son in Florida, two stepdaughters in Florida and a total of six grandchildren.
