Ashley Furniture HomeStore gifts help feed less fortunate

The presentation of the check was attended by Stephen Roach, Co-Manager; Joy Lynn and Dick Lynn with Moore House Ministries; and GW Hendrix Co-Manager [pictured, left to right].
Ashley Furniture HomeStore of Murphy continued its tradition of giving to their community with the donation of $1,000 to Moore House Ministries, Inc.

Moore House Ministries was founded in 1997 by John and Joy Lynn. The ministry serves to help the less fortunate in the community, especially single mothers and the elderly. Moore House Ministries has grown through the years, and is now able to feed 10,000 people a year. In addition to providing meals, Moore House Ministries also provides small appliances, dishes and cooking utensils for victims of fire.

“I’m thankful that we can help this group, particularly during this time of year,” said Darryl Rose, Ashley store licensee.

Moore House Ministries currently has two pastors and twelve laypersons on staff to provide counseling and to help fulfill the spiritual needs of the people they help. Moore House Ministries is supported by local business and churches, as well as individuals in the community. To find out how to donate money, time or essential materials, please contact John or Joy Lynn at (828) 837-2895.
