Sharp United Methodist Church to hold 4th string recital

Sharp United Methodist Church and Rev. Darris Baker will host the 4th string recital for the students of Dr. Vernal Richardson on Saturday, December 16th at 3:00 p.m. Also joining Dr. Richardson’s studio are several students of Mrs. Jean Craig. The program will consist of solos and ensemble pieces. Students range in age from elementary to retired adults. The public is invited to attend.This program will also feature the local string ensemble Ageless Strings which rehearses at Young Harris College on Thursday evenings. Members of the ensemble are frequently invited to play at community events. Most

recently, several members played in the Mountain Community Chorus concert and the First United Methodist Church of Union County Christmas Cantata. The ensemble has been invited to play at McConnell Memorial Baptist Church of Hiawassee on Sunday, December 17th at the 7:00 p.m. evening service as part of the instrumental worship service. Ageless Strings is made of up two groups, beginners and advanced. Players are invited to perform in the group at the level of their experience.
